Multiply- Our New Employability Programme
In partnership with North Northamptonshire Council & Winning With Numbers we can now support adults across parts of the county to develop confidence in their numeracy skills and enhance life opportunities.
About Multiply
Multiply offers easy access to free numeracy courses and initiatives to adults aged 19+ who do not already have a GCSE in Maths at grade C (or equivalent). We can help you brush up on your maths skills and help you become more confident with numbers, whether you need help in managing your bills, budgeting or you want to improve your potential at work.
Our Multiply programme can support parents & children across the 4 different projects below:
Winning with Numbers- is a 10 week course that will enable parents and children to work together to improve their numeracy skills and confidence. The project takes place in various schools across North Northamptonshire, bringing new fun ways of learning with numbers. Every parent and child will have completely free access to the Winning with Numbers online platform too, so the fun learning never ends!
We currently offer one-to-one sessions in the following schools every week:
Rockingham Primary School, Corby
The Grange School, Daventry
Cogenhoe Primary School, Cogenhoe
We also run a group session every week at Sport4Fitness, Fernie Fields, Moulton.
Score!- is a 12 week course themed around football that combines numeracy learning with physical activity. The project takes place across several community venues across North Northamptonshire, with parents & children able to select from a menu of topics suited to their needs and interests, such as: budgeting activities linked to football transfers, fantasy football and the club shop, working with data linked to players, and different numeracy problem solving activities linked to match fixtures, managers, and the stadium.
Multiply Matchday Experience- takes place on Northampton Town FC home matchdays at Sixfields Stadium. Parents & children are invited to take part in pre-match workshops that offer a unique learning experience; observing real life scenarios of how numeracy is used within matchday logistics and planning. Participants also receive a numeracy learning pack tailored around the matchday experience that can be completed throughout the day.
Numeracy Event Days- are one-off numeracy workshops that offer a range of engaging numeracy and football-related activities to adults, taking place across various community settings around North Northamptonshire.
